SHEDDING THE OLD – WHATEVER “THE OLD” MEANS FOR YOU.

Oftentimes, achieving inner peace involves a lot of “shedding” -- letting go of the hurt and pain from your past. It is letting go of any resentment you feel and any desire for revenge.
Start By Making Mindful Choices
“You’ve got to make a mindful choice every day to shed the old – whatever “the old” means for you.”
We have all had to walk through our own personal heartache, regret, rejection, and betrayal; those specific feelings are very familiar to many of us. To live in the present, it is important to heal the past so that we can continue to look for hope in the present and future.
Shedding the old can be different for everyone.
“Be original, show off your style, and tell your story.”
The old may be negative emotions, unhealthy behaviors, discouraging people, bad habits, etc. Today, I want to encourage you to not give up as you unearth and revamp your soul. , #soulwork.
Get Inspired
Breaking old habits is hard. I believe it is because habits are tied to our identity and change is innately difficult. Therefore, if we have multiple habits we want to change, it can be even harder to break. Thus, don't aim for drastic change. Instead, start small with your habit changes by setting a realistic goal or plan that is doable, limited, and unique to your personality. Start by thoughtfully writing down your vision and how you plan on succeeding. Then apply effort daily, regularly, and purposefully. No matter how small the goal may feel to you, make every effort to achieve it with your entire heart. Engage in new and healthy habits and exact them in your life. Yes, it’s important to applaud the new and healthy habit. As you work on changing your habits, old ones will want to seep in. Keep going. Don't give up. You can do this.
