From the moment we first featured Sara Simms in WEC Magazine over a decade ago, we knew we were witnessing someone extraordinary and caring. A woman deeply devoted to her craft, fearless in her pursuit of innovation, and passionate about amplifying music, art, and technology through every set she spins.

Back then, we celebrated her with care — a talented DJ with an unmistakable spark and a powerful voice in Canada's music scene. Today, we honour her again — not just for how far she’s come, but for how deeply she continues to inspire.

Sara is not only a gifted DJ and producer — she’s a teacher, a mentor, a visionary, and a soul with unwavering dedication to music, creativity, and connection. Through every beat she drops and every barrier she breaks, she makes space for others to rise too.

We’re proud to re-honour her now in 2025, under the Tonya Zee Canadian Spotlight Series, where we continue to recognize and uplift Canadians making an impact in their industries with heart, purpose, and power.
