Part of our Canadian Spotlight Series through WEC Magazine

I’ve had the privilege of knowing JaNae Armogan for nearly 15 years, and her journey has been nothing short of remarkable. From our earliest collaborations on WEC Magazine projects—like our “Inspiring Canadian Women” feature—to her spotlight in the original Canadian Spotlight Project, JaNae has continually inspired me and so many others.
Her work on screen in shows like Rookie Blue, Suits, Warehouse 13, and more has captured audiences — but what has always stood out most is the heart behind the performance.
To honour JaNae is to honour a woman who leads with depth, purpose, and undeniable grace. Her work is not only impactful — it’s rooted in compassion, clarity, and a fierce commitment to her craft and to others. JaNae is more than a talented actor — she’s a devoted mom, a passionate artist, and a woman of rare authenticity.
Beyond the screen, working with JaNae on our WEC projects — interviewing her, capturing her story — was a gift. She shared her triumphs, her challenges, and the “why” behind her creative journey. She shows up with strength, humility, and the kind of presence that makes others feel seen. JaNae is one of the most genuine souls we’ve ever had the pleasure of connecting with. Her heart wasn’t just in the work — it was in every message, every conversation, every shared moment.
From the Tonya Zee Community: JaNae, you embody what it means to be a Tonya Zee Honorary Canadian. Honouring you once was an honour — honouring you again is a privilege and a joy. Here’s to your past, your present, and everything you’re becoming.
