There’s no such thing as a pain-free existence, and often times we try to forget any negative imprints from the past. Yet the past is continually with us, fading in and out of our everyday lives. And, although, we can not erase the past or change it - we can certainly change who we become.

The Power of Forgiveness
“I recall a time when an individual spoke hurtful words over my heart and soul. For days, I wept.
We don't have to agree with how other people behave —and nothing I would have said or done was going to change their negative ways. However, understanding why certain people act that way has definitely opened my eyes. Being unkind to those who have shown us cruelty may sound like the right thing to do, but it only creates an unhealthy cycle of "you’re mean to me so I’m going be mean to you.” "And now your being meaner to me so I’m going be even meaner to you."
Forgive and move forward
Forgive those that have spoken unkind words over you. When you allow yourself to focus on a greater force that heals and fuels your daily existence, you will begin to find your purpose through the pain.
Get Inspired
We have to break these cycles and choose not to repay meanness with meanness. Instead seek to find out what behaviors or people trigger negative feelings for you, and seek wisdom on how to choose healthier reactions. Doing inner work is how we can discover how to make peace with our past, present, and future. Healing is a daily process for everyone, but a process that is worth it.
