There are artists—and then there are visionaries. Allison Prior is both.

I've had the privilege of not only honouring Allison as one of our featured Canadians, but also working alongside her on one of our Canadian initiatives—the Canadian Women's Spotlight Project.

The Canadian Women's Spotlight Project became far more than a collection of inspiring stories. It became a living legacy that continues today through sharing the journeys of Canadians who have overcome challenges, pursued their passions, lifted others, or simply refused to give up. We continue to remind people that hope is never out of reach.

What made Allison's contribution to the Canadian Women's Spotlight Project so remarkable wasn't simply her artistic talent, it was her ability to capture the heart of every story. Her portraits became more than illustrations; they became a lasting tribute to the women we were honoured to celebrate. Some of the women we honoured for this project have since passed, yet their stories continue to inspire through our projects while Allison's portraits continue to preserve their memory.
