In the early seasons of building something from the ground up—your brand, your voice, your legacy—there are moments that test you. Not just professionally, but deeply. Quiet doubts. Slow months. A string of no’s. The kind of moments that make you wonder if you’re still called to do this.

And then—if you’re lucky—you cross paths with people who remind you not just why you started, but who you are when you’re not performing. One of those people, for me, is Kimberly Carson Richards.

The Kind of Presence You Don’t Forget:

I met Kim during my time as a business instructor at CDI College. I invited her to speak to my students—and later, she spoke to our entire graduating class. What she brought to both spaces was more than knowledge. It was presence. Calm, clear, deeply grounded presence. Kim doesn’t try to impress you. She invites you to remember your power. She doesn’t just teach people how to speak. She teaches them how to connect. To pause. To breathe. To own their story before they try to sell it. And that, to me, is what makes her a true powerhouse.

Wisdom That Stays With You:

There’s something Kim said that has stayed with me:

“You don’t have to be the loudest in the room to be the most powerful. You just have to be the most present.”

This is the heartbeat of her work. And it’s why I’ve followed her journey ever since—quietly, but consistently—watching her and her business partner, Kat Halushka, build Profitable Impact Academy with soul and strategy.

A Full-Circle Moment:

This September, I will be attending her signature event: Profitable Speaker Bootcamp in Edmonton, Alberta on September 20–21, 2025. Learn more here! And while I’m honoured to be attending, what means more is that I’ll be sharing space with leaders I deeply respect—leaders who teach not from ego, but from lived experience.

This event isn’t about becoming a “better speaker.” It’s about becoming a more authentic messenger. Whether that message lives on a stage, a podcast, in a room, or across a quiet conversation.

Why This Matters Right Now:

So many entrepreneurs—are tired. Tired of trying to sound polished. Tired of being visible without being heard. Tired of the constant push to perform. What Kim and Kat have created is a different kind of space—one where your story is safe, your voice is honoured, and your growth is supported by strategy, not pressure.

To the One Still Showing Up:

You don’t need to be perfect to show up. You don’t need to have a polished pitch to be powerful. You just need to stay connected—to yourself, your mission, and the people who truly see you. That’s what this journey is about. And that’s what this event is about.

Kim, thank you—for your wisdom, your presence, and for continuing to show what it means to lead from truth.
